It is the first permanent illuminating bicycle light which does not need a battery. This combination provides an unlimited light source and a bicycle pump for urban cyclists. The idea is based on Faraday's law of induction. Instead of batteries, it uses electromagnetic induction. The electricity is generated by moving the compressor/ magnet through the two copper coils that are located around the inner compression tube. The light’s battery is charged while pumping.
The generated energy is stored in a rechargeable battery/ super cap. The light source is an ultra bright LED bulb. The magnetic recharge method allows the LED light to be recharged unlimited times. The criteria for the object required it to be eco friendly and reduce the number of items the user had to carry around. Props to The General for doing a great job MC'ing and a special Happy Birthday to RU. Nice to see all my tweeps too. Half of my friend list was in the house. DF*

Often times you will find something in a video game that is so far out of whack that it is totally awesome. This however will haunt the deepest corners of my dreams for years to come. The "Bird People" in Red Dead Redemption give me this eerie feeling deep down that remind me of my worst nightmares. At the same time I love the part of the above video that looks like the people are getting shot and falling very realistically. Not to mention the human chunks and fluids that explode from the bird people upon bullet impact. Mission tomorrow: Find this game and get to this level. DF* (via The Awesomer)
The Blitz Drink Chiller has a revolving chilling chamber can take a brew down to 38 degrees in 2 minutes flat, and 33 degrees in 4.
In a refrigerator, it takes about 4 hours for both cans and bottles. In a freezer, it takes 50 minutes (but don't let it stay longer than that or it will freeze, and possibly explode). In ice water, it takes about 25 minutes for cans and 30 minutes for bottles. These chill times are defined as bringing the beverage from room temperature (77ºF/25ºC) to a cold drinking temperature (38ºF/3ºC) DF* (via Cool Material) Buy it HERE. $40 |
